Narrated Abu Sa`id: Rasulullah Sallillahu Alaihi Wa Sallam said,
“You will follow the wrong ways, of your predecessors so completely and literally that if they should go into the hole of a mastigure (lizard), you too will go there.”
We said, “O Rasulullah! Do you mean the Jews and the Christians?”
He replied, “Whom else?” (Meaning, of course, the Jews and the Christians.)

৩৪৫৬. আবূ সা‘ঈদ (রাঃ) হতে বর্ণিত। তিনি বলেন, নাবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বলেছেন, তোমরা অবশ্যই তোমাদের পূর্ববর্তীদের পন্থা পুরোপুরি অনুসরণ করবে, প্রতি বিঘতে বিঘতে এবং প্রতি গজে গজে। এমনকি তারা যদি গো সাপের গর্তেও ঢুকে তবে তোমরাও তাতে ঢুকবে। আমরা বললাম, হে আল্লাহর রাসূল! আপনি কি ইয়াহূদী ও নাসারার কথা বলছেন? নাবী সাল্লাল্লাহু আলাইহি ওয়াসাল্লাম বললেন, তবে আর কার কথা?
