Let’s dissect the Ayah first: There are 5 parts of this Ayah:

1. ‘Never would the Kuffar satisfy with you UNTIL you follow their DEEN (millat) (‘Way of Life’/ Life Style)’
2. ‘Say, Allah’s GUIDANCE is the ONLY Guidance.’
3. If you were to follow their desires
4. after what has come to you of knowledge,
5. you would have against Allah no protector or helper.

1. ইহুদী ও খ্রীষ্টানরা কখনই আপনার প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হবে না, যে পর্যন্ত না আপনি তাদের জীবন ব্যাবস্থার অনুসরণ করেন।
2. বলে দিন, যে পথ আল্লাহ প্রদর্শন করেন, তাই হল সরল পথ।
3. যদি আপনি তাদের আকাঙ্খাসমূহের অনুসরণ করেন,
4. ঐ জ্ঞান লাভের পর, যা আপনার কাছে পৌঁছেছে,
5. তবে কেউ আল্লাহর কবল থেকে আপনার উদ্ধারকারী ও সাহায্যকারী নেই।

In this post we only talk about part, 4 En Shaa Allah.

Part (4)

بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ

“After what has come to you of knowledge,“
“ঐ জ্ঞান লাভের পর, যা আপনার কাছে পৌঁছেছে“

:|: Why learning Deen is Obligatory for a Muslim? :|:

What does it mean?
Allah confirms here that a Muslim has been given the knowledge.

What is that knowledge?
As Allah has already mentioned in the previous part, His guidance.
That knowledge is the GUIDANCE.
Therefore, Muslims must have, Muslims must possess that knowledge.
Allah, Al-Hakeem, equipped Muslims with the knowledge of what Allah’s Deen is.

So, what’s the knowledge for?
That knowledge is what should save a Muslim from following Kuffar’s Deen.
Because the CORE point/ issue of this Ayah is warning about following Kuffar’s Deen.
Therefore, if you do not learn Deen, you won’t be able to save yourself from following Kuffar’s Deen.
Period.

But what do we see today?
Muslims, not only follow Kuffar’s Deen, rather they even endorse and establish Kuffar’s Deen, democracy.
Muslims, not only follow Kuffar’s Deen, they obey and submit to the Kuffar’s Sharia’/ Deen by willingly coming, living and settling under the Kuffar’s authority.

The question is,
How is it possible?
How is it possible that when Allah gave such warning to the Muslims for following Kuffar’s Deen,
yet instead of keeping themselves away from following it, they endorse, establish and submit to the Kuffar’s Deen?
It’s only possible when they leave that guidance, when these Muslims abandon the Quran.

But now, the next question is,
Don’t those Muslims learn Deen?
Yes, they are learned Muslims, learned Ulama of Muslims, and they are the followers of the big Ulama.

How come then, that they obey Kuffar’s Deen?
How come they establish Kuffar’s Deen by endorsing it?
How come they call to establish Kuffar’s Deen?
How come they submit to the Kuffar’s Deen, willingly?

The only answer is,
Though they are learned Muslims but they don’t take guidance from the Quran.
Their learning is based on the understanding of the contemporary Ulema they follow.
And their contemporary Ulema teach them the copy and paste ‘package Deen’ they learned from the Salaf while the Salaf did not encounter such level of aggression from the Kuffar’s Deen in their times that have been forced on us by the Kuffar’s in the last 100 years.

A few examples are: Democracy was not present in the time of the Salaf.
Citizenship and Kuffar’s Law was not enforced on Muslims in the time of the Salaf even though they went to the Kuffar’s lands for Dawah.
Kuffar’s lifestyle was remain unknown to the regular Muslims living in the isolated Muslim lands during the time of the Salaf while today Kuffar was able to forced their Deen inside every house of the Muslims.
Yet these Ulema copy paste the Deen from the Salaf while remain unaware that not only the regular Muslims but he Ulama themsleves also adopted Kuffar’s Deen in every walks of life from family issues, business, finance, trade, education, health, medicine, food to what not.

So, these Muslims and their Ulama keep doing ‘five pillars’ following the ‘Package Deen’ from the Salaf while Kuffar has demolished the Roof, demolished the wall (The Authority/ Khilafah) that would have protected Muslims from following Kuffar’s Deen.

Therefore, though we have so many learned Ulema, so many learned Muslims, so many Muslim organisations, so many Muslims who practice Islam, yet they are either endorsing Kuffar’s Deen of democracy or obeying Kuffar’s Deen willingly and the Ummah at large drown into the ocean of Kuffar’s Deen and adopted it in their life.

Where as, even reading of a few translations and contemplating on Allah’s Ayat would have been sufficient for even a regular Muslim to understand Kuffar’s Deen and stay away from it. But they were warned about how difficult it is to understand and contemplate on the Quran.

Therefore, the Quran became an abandoned thing to the Muslims. They get Deen, they understand Deen, and they take Deen what comes from their respected Ulama only. But again, that would not have been a problem if the Ulama had contemplated on the Quran themselves.

That’s the only explanation of this mass misguidance of the Ulama behind endorsing Kuffar’s Deen and submitting willingly under the Kuffar’s Deen by living in the Kuffar’s lands.

And that points to only one root cause,
The Ummah left contemplating on the Quran,
The Ummah thus abandoned the Quran.

Subhanallah! That’s why Ibn Kathir commented that not contemplating on the Quran is abandoning the Quran when he commented on the Ayah, about ‘Rasululllah’s complaint about the Ummah saying, “O My Rabb, this my Ummah has abandoned the Quran”.

This Quran is what Allah instructed Muslims to contemplate.
This Quran is what Rasulullah Sallallahu Alaihi Wa Sallam has prescribed as protection at the end of the time by holding onto it.
But this scholarship of Ummah abandoned the Quran themselves and also made it Haram for Muslims to contemplate. They only preach learning the package understanding of the Quran by sitting under the Ulama who teach the ‘package Deen’.

So, Allah Subhanahu clearly warned you that if you follow their ways, after that knowledge came to you, you will be doomed.

May Allah protect us from that disaster.
And Allah knows best.
May Allah guide Muslims.
May Allah protect us from following Kuffar’s Deen.
