وَلَن تَرْضَىٰ عَنكَ الْيَهُودُ وَلَا النَّصَارَىٰ حَتَّىٰ تَتَّبِعَ مِلَّتَهُمْ ۗ قُلْ إِنَّ هُدَى اللَّهِ هُوَ الْهُدَىٰ ۗ وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ

 

And never will the Jews or the Christians approve of you until you follow their Deen. Say, “Indeed, the guidance of Allah is the [only] guidance.” If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.

ইহুদী ও খ্রীষ্টানরা কখনই আপনার প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হবে না, যে পর্যন্ত না আপনি তাদের দ্বীন এর অনুসরণ করেন। বলে দিন, যে পথ আল্লাহ প্রদর্শন করেন, তাই হল সরল পথ। যদি আপনি তাদের আকাঙ্খাসমূহের অনুসরণ করেন, ঐ জ্ঞান লাভের পর, যা আপনার কাছে পৌঁছেছে, তবে কেউ আল্লাহর কবল থেকে আপনার উদ্ধারকারী ও সাহায্যকারী নেই।

Let’s dissect the Ayah first: There are 5 parts of this Ayah:

1. ‘Never would the Kuffar satisfy with you UNTIL you follow their DEEN (millat) (‘Way of Life’/ Life Style)’
2. ‘Say, Allah’s GUIDANCE is the ONLY Guidance.’
3. If you were to follow their desires
4. after what has come to you of knowledge,
5. you would have against Allah no protector or helper.

1. ইহুদী ও খ্রীষ্টানরা কখনই আপনার প্রতি সন্তুষ্ট হবে না, যে পর্যন্ত না আপনি তাদের জীবন ব্যাবস্থার অনুসরণ করেন।
2. বলে দিন, যে পথ আল্লাহ প্রদর্শন করেন, তাই হল সরল পথ।
3. যদি আপনি তাদের আকাঙ্খাসমূহের অনুসরণ করেন,
4. ঐ জ্ঞান লাভের পর, যা আপনার কাছে পৌঁছেছে,
5. তবে কেউ আল্লাহর কবল থেকে আপনার উদ্ধারকারী ও সাহায্যকারী নেই।

In this post we only talk about part 3, 4 and 5 En Shaa Allah.

Part 3, 4 and 5:

وَلَئِنِ اتَّبَعْتَ أَهْوَاءَهُم بَعْدَ الَّذِي جَاءَكَ مِنَ الْعِلْمِ ۙ مَا لَكَ مِنَ اللَّهِ مِن وَلِيٍّ وَلَا نَصِيرٍ

If you were to follow their desires after what has come to you of knowledge, you would have against Allah no protector or helper.

ঐ জ্ঞান লাভের পর, যা আপনার কাছে পৌঁছেছে, তবে কেউ আল্লাহর কবল থেকে আপনার উদ্ধারকারী ও সাহায্যকারী নেই।

The 3rd Question:

Do you know about the questions in Qabr?

Here comes the Hadith which states the 3rd question in the Qabr, “What is your Deen?
(Sunan Abu Dawood, Vol 5, Book 39, The Book of the Sunnah, Hadith No. 4753; Musnad Ahmad, 18063 al-Albaani in Saheeh al-Jaami’, 1676.)

And therefore, this Ayah of the Quran and the said Hadith makes a clear link to the THIRD question in the Qabr.

So, how would you respond, and who will help you against Allah’s punishment in the Qabr to begin with?
And yet we are not sure whether this punishment will even end in the Qabr or continue during the Qiyamah or even lead to the Jahannam. Allah knows best.

But that only tells you the certainty of punishment but yet we really don’t know the degree or the level of treatment. And what kind of punishment would that be?

Depends on how the matter will be treated, right?

Allah Ta’ala didn’t mention the category of punishment, but you can understand, it will be severe because of Allah’s way of warning, “You won’t find anyone to help you”

SubhanAllah, another Hadith comes to mind,

Remember other Hadiths which describe that different Malaikah will approach the person from different sides in the Qabr and then Salat, Siam, Quran etc, Ebadah will protect the person from the punishment of those Malaikah?

But here Allah says, “None will be at your aid”

Does this give a clue how the matter will be dealt with, what would be the grade of the punishment?

And here the other hadith comes:
you know the Hadith that sets the level of treatment on following the Kuffar’s deen.

“The one who follows kuffar’s ways, he is one of them”
(Abu Dawood, al-Libaas, 3512. Al-Albaani said in Saheeh Abi Dawood, (it is) hasan saheeh. No. 3401)

As per this hadith, it could make a Muslim, one of ‘them’, meaning, those who belongs to the Kuffar.

Does it mean, even though a Muslim gives two correct answers in the grave, failing to give the correct answer to the 3rd question could block his way to Jannah?

Allah knows best.
May Allah make Muslims understand Deen.
May Allah protect Muslim from following Kuffar’s Deen.
May Allah guide Muslims.
and may Allah save us from Allah’s punishment.
