“And when My servants ask you,
[O Muhammad], concerning Me –
indeed I am near.
I respond to the invocation of the supplicant when he calls upon Me.
So let them respond to Me [by obedience] and believe in Me
that they may be [rightly] guided.”
My Reflection:
Bismillah! Al Hamdulillah!
Wa AsSalatu AsSalamu A’la Rasulillah!
Allah Subahanah says, He respond to the call of His slaves when they call Him. (أُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الدَّاعِ إِذَا دَعَانِ)
SubhanAllah! This is so amazing news for mankind.
A certain message from their Creator!
That He RESPONDS to them whenever they call HIM.
And then, He asks them in return, فَلْيَسْتَجِيبُوا لِي
“You respond to me, too”
As if He, Al-Mujeeb, The Responder, approaching them with an attitude like, “Hey, I responded to you when you called me, so now, you respond to my call too, please!’
as if, “Hey, I gave you that, you give me this now, please!”
What a motivation! What a generosity! What a gentleness! What a kind approach!
He is Al-Azeez, the Almighty, yet He first issued and informed His commitment and confirmed His covenant, and only after that He asked the other party to fulfil or do their part now!
SubhaAllah!
This is Al-Kareem, the most gentle,
This is Al-Mannan, the bestower of bounty.
So, now, what Allah, Al-Mujeeb asking for?
وَلْيُؤْمِنُوا بِي
Believe in Me!
SubhanAllah! This Ayah is the proof that Allah responds to His A’abd (all Human beings) because He is asking them now to believe in Him.
So, who can be asked to believe? Only those who didn’t believe in Him yet,
the disbelievers! Al-Kafirun! The Kuffar!
So, He, Al-Mujeeb respond to the Dua of the Kuffar too!
SubhanAllah!
He is Al-Kareem! The Most Gentle!
He is Ar-Rahman! The Most Merciful
——-
And then the second issue is, لَعَلَّهُمْ يَرْشُدُونَ
Meaning here is that only the believer gets the right path.
If they believe, then they will be guided to the right path!
And Allah knows best.
May Allah make us among those who constantly make Dua.
And may Allah accept our Dua.
