Allahumma Salli Wa Sallim A’ala Nabiyyina Muhammad.

This is an advanced level of Critical Reasoning; therefore, we will jump in a few steps.
This Ayah leads us to the previous Ayat to understand the subject which is mentioned as ‘it’.
So, we get the following previous Ayat to derive some benefit from it, En Shaa Allah, Tawufiq Billah!

Ta Ha 20:11-16

(11) فَلَمَّآ أَتَىٰهَا نُودِيَ يَٰمُوسَىٰٓ

(12) إِنِّيٓ أَنَا۠ رَبُّكَ فَٱخۡلَعۡ نَعۡلَيۡكَ إِنَّكَ بِٱلۡوَادِ ٱلۡمُقَدَّسِ طُوࣰى

(13) وَأَنَا ٱخۡتَرۡتُكَ فَٱسۡتَمِعۡ لِمَا يُوحَىٰٓ

(14) إِنَّنِيٓ أَنَا ٱللَّهُ لَآ إِلَٰهَ إِلَّآ أَنَا۠ فَٱعۡبُدۡنِي وَأَقِمِ ٱلصَّلَوٰةَ لِذِكۡرِيٓ

(15) إِنَّ ٱلسَّاعَةَ ءَاتِيَةٌ أَكَادُ أُخۡفِيهَا لِتُجۡزَىٰ كُلُّ نَفۡسِۭ بِمَا تَسۡعَىٰ

(16) فَلَا يَصُدَّنَّكَ عَنۡهَا مَن لَّا يُؤۡمِنُ بِهَا وَٱتَّبَعَ هَوَىٰهُ فَتَرۡدَىٰ

(11) And when he came to it, he was called, “O Moses,
(12) Indeed, I am your Lord, so remove your sandals. Indeed, you are in the blessed valley of Ṭuwā.
(13) And I have chosen you, so listen to what is revealed [to you].
(14) Indeed, I am Allāh. There is no deity except Me, so worship Me and establish prayer for My remembrance. 
(15) Indeed, the Hour is coming – I almost conceal it[1] – so that every soul may be recompensed according to that for which it strives. 
(16) So do not let one avert you from it[1] who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.

(11) যখন সে আগুনের কাছে আসল তখন তাকে আহবান করা হল, ‘হে মূসা’
(12) নিশ্চয় আমি তোমার রব; সুতরাং তোমার জুতা জোড়া খুলে ফেল, নিশ্চয় তুমি পবিত্র ‘তুওয়া’ উপত্যকায় রয়েছ’।
(13) ‘আর আমি তোমাকে মনোনীত করেছি, সুতরাং যা ওহীরূপে পাঠানো হচ্ছে তা মনোযোগ দিয়ে শুন’।
(14) ‘নিশ্চয় আমি আল্লাহ, আমি ছাড়া কোন (সত্য) ইলাহ নেই; সুতরাং আমার ইবাদাত কর এবং আমার স্মরণার্থে
সালাত কায়েম কর’।
(15) ‘নিশ্চয় কিয়ামত আসবে; আমি তা গোপন রাখতে চাই যাতে প্রত্যেককে স্বীয় চেষ্টা-সাধনা অনুযায়ী প্রতিদান
দেয়া যায়’। 
(16) অতএব যে ব্যক্তি তার প্রতি ঈমান রাখে না এবং স্বীয় প্রবৃত্তির অনুসরণ করে সে যেন কিছুতেই তাতে ঈমান আনয়নে তোমাকে বাধা দিতে না পারে; অন্যথায় তুমি ধ্বংস হয়ে যাবে।

Subhanallah!
Musa A’laihi Wa Sallam just met Allah, Al-Azeez.
What’s the first thing He A’jja Wa Jalla warned him about?
Salah.

 

Then, immediately next thing He mentioned is the ‘Hour’, the end of the world, the Qiyamah!

And Allah warned Musa aws about it.

 

So, how did Allah warn Musa aws about it?
“So do not let one avert you from it who does not believe in it and follows his desire, for you [then] would perish.”

 

Meaning, 
He was warned of being ruined.

How, what could cause him to ruin?
If he lets the Kuffar, who follows their Hawa, to prevent him from it (The ‘Time’, the Qiyamah).

 

What does it mean?
It means, Since Kuffar do not believe that there will be a day of reckoning, they indulge in whatever their heart desires. 

 

How could that prevent him from the ‘Hour’/ ‘Time’/ ‘Qiyamah’?
To understand that, you have to understand the meaning of believing and knowing of the ‘Hour’.
Knowing that you will face the reckoning of your deed, you must be careful what you’re doing, how do you spend your time.

 

And what the Kuffar, those who follow their desire, do?
They indulge in entertainment, luxury and so on.

 

This is where the warning comes.
‘Don’t let those things avert/ prevent you from focusing, that ‘the day’ is coming.
So, you don’t waste your time in the same lifestyle that the Kuffar is indulging in.

And if you do, you will be ruined.

 

In a nutshell, it is talking about materialism.
Kuffar is after the materialism, they are after ‘living the life in its fullest’.
They live with the philosophy, ‘You only got one life, so enjoy it’,
‘It’s your life, so colour it. ‘

 

And a Muslim, who believes that his time is just coming, can’t afford to do that.

So, it’s all about rejecting the Kuffar’s ways and rejecting the Kuffar’s life style.

 

And 

Subhanallah, you see the result today.
Muslims are persecuted, humiliated in the Dunya as well by the Kuffar.
Because they are after the same materialism like the Kuffar.
They follow the Kuffar span by span as Rasulullah Sallallahu A’laihi Wa Sallam warned.

 

Allah knows best.
